Warps' Other uses Empty Warps' Other uses

    Post by patrickfreed 2011-04-03, 02:35

    Hear me out on this:
I know the admin+'s opinions on warps, but this is different.
Warps don't necessarily mean /warp. In fact, I'd prefer if we got the warp plugin without /warp
It also includes Sign Warps. So in the new spawn, you could have 5 sign warps (right clickable like sign shops) to warp to the 5 cities.
Also, you can set a warp and then type /warp point [warpname] or something like that, and have your compass point to one of the 5 cities.
I think some form of MyWarp is essential to the server Razz

We have "discussed" intercity travel in the admin forum decided on something more impressive than a sign. As in not lame.

Eh I understand that, but what about the /warp point [cityname]?

There possibly maybe warps but they won't point to the cities as one of the ideas we are throwing around are <SPOILERS>. Instead we are going to make <REDACTED>.

i'd say the old /warp were kinda nice to have to the members+ , it made it possible to have more than 1 important place at once. Smile

Physically going somewhere via railline or something is usually more fun and impressive than just warping there.

I've seen servers where they have super fast railways too, so it wouldn't take much time even on a giant map.

So how do you know when to jump off?? is there like "stops" where you can choose to jump off? or simply by timing?

On the server I saw them (was actually Arbr's server) you could choose which direction to go at a fork, and the cart would just start going in that direction super fast. And same kind of thing for getting off.

Not sure what mod it was, but a sweet one definitely.

Jarvis was going to assist me with getting started, but he didn't show on the server at the appointed time.

I'd like to do that, but I already PM'd him with no response. He's been on the forums at least twice since then. *shrug* I could do it myself if you'd grant me permission.

Also, I posted in the Admin forum concerning City area and shape.
