Spawn killer

So, I walked out of spawn and I was waiting the lag to stop, suddenly zuwarth ran out and killed me right outside the spawn area... Is that spawn killing?
P.s anyway i can get my stuff?

Yes that is spawncamping, but I'm going to work now and so another staff member will have to deal with it

I was running back from GamerG77's house, right. He is standing there, over 100 blocks away from spawn. Just standing. He wasn't walking out of spawn. He was standing, typing to some_ranger1, I believe. So, I killed him, and he complained for 20 minutes.

I have a witness who will testify to what I have just said: TheHankTank.

You were. Ask my witness. I don't even KNOW the guy. You were complaining to me about it. He was all shocked right after you died and got scared, so he went home and stored his stuff. He saw the whole thing (in fact, something I laughed at, he literally jumped in-game). I'm leaving this at that.

I keep getting accused of spawn camping, but I never do it. The only times I kill someone anywhere NEAR spawn is if they are in a shop browsing around (which I have every right to do), or if they are in the middle of griefing someone else's creations.

A 200 block region around the spawn with build=allow and pvp=deny flags would solve a lot of these problems...

I agree, wholeheartedly.

It would, but then how do you know if you're in or outside the non-pvp area?
Fence with lots of openings maybe?

My thinking is it would be better if you didn't know for certain.

If you would know, this would just be like a larger version of spawn city.

But would this then just go against that this IS a PvP server?
Denying pvp 200 blocks around spawn and, i'm guessing it will be denied in major cities aswell? would really, make this a none PvP server...
It would solve alot of issues, but it would remove some of the appeal of this server, you only hear complaints about PvP on the forums, because people don't post about good experiences of PvP, although there are some...

ZuWrath I was just about 60 blocks away the spawn when Max and Laj was following me, plus i was lagging so i cant see u come and attack me =-=

1- You weren't 60 blocks away -_-.
2- TheHankTank was there, too.
3- Lag ain't my problem.

That was my idea from the temp server: if you make the PVP-safe zone extended, and make it a weird hard to memorize shape like a hexagon or something, then spawn camping will basically be impossible because nobody will know when the PVP zone begins.

Right now, some people get killed 200 blocks from spawn and try to complain. Maybe if the signs in spawn said "a short distance from spawn, PVP becomes available. Go at your own peril, etc."

1. Max and Laj was beside me and they said you spawn killed me
2. I was 60 blocks away spawn
3. I was lagging

And I'm also going to mention that there is now a protection "spell" around spawn, so you can't lie about being spawn killed anymore.

You're not getting your items back. Get over it.
