Other lamps at spawn to replace lava

A few of them were gone today, so I just added torches to keep it well lit.
Now the lava is back and, well, see for yourself

I did try to fix it so that players won't burn themselves, but I can't edit in the general spawn area anymore x3 (fixed some of the outer stairs btw, in case you wondered).
It's been fixed while I was typing this post, but I'd like to suggest another form of light source, or encase the lava with glass.
Doggies also tend to set themselves on fire while passing them because they're stupid. ;p

If you'd like some design suggestions for the lights I'll gladly give you some

Yeah, it seems the lava begins to flow out by its-self at random intervals.

The obvious Glowstone?

Redstone torches would like pretty at night imo.

Glowstone certainly does the job but I'm banking on there being some extravagant idea out there.

I had that happen to the ones closest to my shop when I cruised past them on my magic carpet Whenever a block is changed next to a stationary liquid block, they reset and start flowing.

And I'd very much like them gone, I managed to /jumpto on top of one of those the other day

Netherrack looks like a cubic turd. It's just...ugly.

Apparently the lava spreads/fucks up when a donator flys through it with their magic carpet..

Further, most tex packs I use make rack look like butt.

Lamp ideas? hmm
1 lava block encased in 6 glass blocks, 1 fence and 1 stone slab block as a base.
same base as now but lava block encased in 4 fences (dunno if it lets any light through though), might also try it one slab higher.
Less fancy and more town look with regular planks (or other material) and 4 torches, with fence and slab base.
Slab base, 3-4 fences up, 1 to the top side and glowstone under it, might also work with 4 fences at the top and 4 glowstones (+ like setup)

Want me to build those as examples?

Agreed. Comic/Coloring HD packs > Realistic packs.
Frequently using Doku's.

I usually like realistic or RPG-style packs; just a preference.

I can't see what your texture pack looks like because the distance is too great. From a large distance most texture packs look the same.

My texture pack reminds me of Ocarina of Time, which I like. Also the high res textures are very easy on the eyes.

I don't have two lots, the one next to mine doesn't belong to anybody and I could edit it, I needed space and protection so I just put a temp sign, build all these, removed them right after the screenshot was taken, and nobody notices the difference. :p

Besides, I thought you can buy lots in other cities as well, according to what I heard at least.

if that was my city you did that in id ask you to pack your things and leave... you bought a PLOT in the city, that doesnt mean you can go around messing around with the entire city...
and for light might i suggest what your doing with other parts of the city (jack-o-lanterns)

I didn't claim the plot or anything, I used and unsold plot at the time for 5 minutes and wasted resources only to give a better visual reference for the suggestion. Everything I did was completely removed within that time and not a single block of the plot was altered.

Sorry I went for the fast and safe way instead of the time wasting death trap that is the outer spawn.
Sorry that I wasted time and resources to fix some obviously old friggin griefed holes in the stairs too.
Sorry for me removing the flowing lava from the part I still have access to because someone thought it would be funny to walk around it with MC on and pointing at this obvious design flaw with this topic.

So far I'm not the one that's going around boasting "I'm better than you because of xy lalala!", I only mentioned that I fixed some stairs outside my plot in case someone wonders wtf I edited blocks outside my area. I really don't give two s***s about the background on the pictures, it might just have been a unicorn puking rainbows for all I care but then that would require editing work, and I mostly don't give a damn about those rights I have of editing beyond my plot size. The only one that seemed to be all hissy fits about it was you that seem to have a need to play the drama queen here, as well as in my shop topic "because you didn't get any!!!!111oneeleven" for free and "how come other users have the same rights as donators totally OP!!!!".

Ranks mean absolutely nothing to me, even less the people who think all high and mighty of themself because of them.

Sorry, that particular point was directed at IMHO Gamer's more than exaggerated reaction to the fact I used the plot as a quick temp building space.
But see, that's the thing, I didn't change (at least not for more than 5 minutes, with signed notice that I would remove it all right away) anything to the plot, there were no visible changes to the plot I used, nothing, zip, without these picture, nobody would have ever known, and ironically, nobody was around to see me build these. I could just as much have build a dirt platform 50 blocks above it, done the lamps there, remove it and it would've been the same.

Wow, someone got butthurt fast. And second, I'm just saying man don't FUCKING edit something that's not yours. I don't give a rat's ass if noone has it. That's like me using someone's building as a demonstration to use a rune without them knowing.

And yes, you are OFFICIALLY only supposed to have ONE plot in a major city, and cannot have a plot in more than one city. In other words: ONE zoned city plot, PERIOD.
