harassment policy ?

I wanted to know whats the staff point of view on harassing people here ?

The very first day i came onto the server, I just wanted to visit to see what the server was like ; not even 3 minutes later, 6xxsonicxx6 almost forced me to build a house with him.
At first he looked friendly but he fast turned into that guy u want to get rid of by beeing polite, but cant manage to because he's beeing too stupid to understand you dont want him around.

I kind of tried to get over this by going 3 or 4 minecraft days away from spawn in a totaly (or almost) desert place. I did enjoy the server and its functionalities with the friends I brought with me. It was too nice to last long. Not even 2 days after 6xxsonicxx6, unaware of the place i was at, asked his donator pal monstaboi to teleport to me and then, spawn him there... Hell .. sonic using levers to bypass doors protections looked like a common thing -_-
I mean, if u go away, nowhere to be found, using someones /tp ability to spawn you there is not fair.

Anyways, during the time I wasnt beeing stalked by him, I made a nice little wooden house with my friends, loving it, loving the landscape ... Then Mr sonic decided to build an ugly, uncentered, cobblestone, 4x4, tower right next to our house. Not 100 blocks aways, no .. 20 at max, ruining all the landscape and not fitting at all with the region. Still abusing the doors /cprivate to come around in the house, do his business, put runes in the middle of the living room, also going to dig in the mineshaft i made...

After beeing seriously pissed, I tried to stay calm and gently asked if he could move his tower. He did agree. Yes he did ! Only to move it 20 blocks to the right, instead of 20 blocks besides it =\ Because "he wants to have and eye on me because he is an assassin".

This ended up in me burning all my mats in a lava incinerator, leaving a nice server just because some 10 years old kid thinks beeing "an assassin that stalks on people" is fun.

Laugh if u want, agree if u want too. Just wanted to share my thoughts on how some lame people can ruin the fun you have on a nice working server.

If you're gonna make a formal complaint, I strongly suggest you use proper English. Internet abbreviations aren't very convincing.

It's pretty unreadable, but from what I can see Sonic was teleported without permission to this guest, by Monstaboi. TPing people to other people without their permission is obviously against the rules.

Sonic and Monsta were repeatedly killing that Tenzo guy at his house, too. They seem to pick on guests who don't know when they're breaking the rules, or how to report it.

So, yeah, you were obviously being griefed (in the sense that FillerB suggests): grief means more than altering people's work.

This IS harassment, and methinks something should be done.

EDIT:

ALSO, using LEVERS to enter someone's house is a BANNABLE offense as it is GRIEFING their house (adding the lever is ALTERING the original work done by you).

Sonic is obnoxious as all hell. Don't let him ruin your experience with the server. It's a great server. Just ignore him, lock your doors, report for tping when it's not wanted.. and report griefing when it happens. (like him building a teleporter in your livingroom if I read that right. The way I dealt with him was by basically becoming a huge bitch and telling him not to bother me, and by trying to kill him any chance I got lol.

Just keep you're guard up and don't let kids like him ruin your experience.
This is one of the best servers I've come across honestly, so fight for it!!

Exactly, sounds like Monsta was TPing Sonic to guests (without their permission), and Sonic griefed said guests's places in various ways.

I knew they were repeatedly killing guests in their home, but griefing is bannable, and this sounds like quite a bit of it was happening.

Three instances of grief clearly outlined.

No offense Lizardman, you know I'm a grammar nazi....but this guy was CLEARLY reporting grief and you just blew him off. The server needs more players like this guy, and less griefers like Sonic, not the other way around.

Give him a break. His grammar is far better than some other complaints and appeals. *luke300998 *cough*

Also I think (referring to another topic) we should change from /tp to /tpa so this sort of thing would be less likely to happen.
Also Magicmaker this is an awesome server(don't give up so easily) and as much as I hate to admit it we do have a**holes on this server that do that sort of thing, however if we have them that means every other server has them as well. The trick is to stay persistant and they will eventually leave you alone. That is how they work they get you to quit after a few days of work and mining and then they reap the benifits of your labor when you leave.

About the grammar, apologies, english isn't my native language. Thats why I, now, added several comma's and replaced "i" with "I" and tried to make it clearer. (i still think my grammar is better than "gief bak ma daimond")

It's hard to ignore someone that has an ugly a** 4x4 tower right in front of your door
He didnt build a teleporter there but was using levers to get into the house & bypass locked doors (then remove the levers), make his powerpick rune in the middle of the living room, then use it. Looks like he was too lazy to make himself some place in his ugly tower to do it, so why not use someone else's house instead.

Quick suggestion might be a little more work and involved than it seems but it will hopefully get him banned.
In the living room where there is space for a rune, place blocks like chests or gold block to get in the way of the rune. It will make your living room ugly but if he comes in and destroys anything get the cords. And give them to orc telling him you were griefed. This will either make him build them else where or destroy the blocks you placed( a bannable offense)as for your doors set your /home inside then replace your doors with blocks you can still get inside but he can't usehis levers.
These may be cheap tactics but hopefully they will work

As stated before, those are clear instances of griefing. I intend to ban sonic for this disgression. Can you provide me with the XYZ coordinate data of the area in question, please? If I can get to the area I can acquire the necessary Log Block evidence to support the ban.

Look for levers placed by 6xxsonicxx6 on the outside doors (front and back) of the house located at x: ### y: ### z: ### (like i said he removed em after)
Also look for redstone powder & redstone torches placed by him in the living room to make his powerpick rune.
and look for monstaboi teleport to magicmaker2oo2 at the same coord (not wanted) then summon 6xxsonicxx6 there as well

I was not ignoring said grief. I could not understand his broken English worth a damn, and I was sorting out other matters after the translation.

As I am on now, if you provide the coords, I will investigate this further and take action if necessary.

Griefing is clear enough, but what about multiple unwanted TPs with intent to grief? Ie tping someone to someone else when you know that the person you're tping is there to grief. You're basically assisting the other person in griefing a guest they would otherwise not be able to grief.

I'm gonna sift through the logs (yay). If I find Monsta tp'ing him there (for the purpose of griefing), I shall ban him as well.

To be fair, Monsta may not have known the circumstances. It's become fairly standard practice to buy/sell teleportation, especially since the most recent map reset.

The most this warrants, I'd say, is a dramatic revision of teleportation policy. Converting to /tpa has been mentioned elsewhere on the forums very recently. I also propose adding the stipulation that the teleporter get confirmation that BOTH parties involved consent to the teleport. This would have prevented Sonic ever griefing in this instance in the first place.

@Rulyon / considering how sonic & monsta are always doing things together i dont know if he knew the circumstances or not.
However I completely agree on the fact that if he hadn't /tp sonic to me like that, this post would even probably not exist. /tpa is a nice idea

I'm failing at checking the logs. When I do this:

I get "permission denied" Any help on this? :S

Seems that Monsta had no intentions of any wrongdoing.

Hope you stay on the server Magic, it is a shame when guests are detered away because of "kids" like these guys. Atleast justice is served , and if you ever find this hapening or something else you beleive wrong just contact a mod+
