Statue help needed!

As Abydos has had so many donations recently we have been getting to work as much as we can, but whilst doing the entrance, we may have hit a brick wall,

We are trying to create two of these at the entrance,

Anyone good with minecraft art that may want to help? We can pay, or offer free plots, etc...

Why not first make a mockup in a Classic server? That way you don't have to worry about resources and you can fly while constructing.

May I assist in the building of Anubis? I have a ton of shrines built up in my house dedicated to him, so I can help in a big way!

We may be researching into someone completely designing the statue for us, but yes we may be in-need of your help

The more help the better, i'm currently unable to get on much, and on saturdy I'm going away for a week.

So we'll need all the help we can get, make a mock up of it if you'd like BUD, see what Grin and Liz think

Blue one's body is my favorite, perhaps that with the first head gear?

They are actual Gods, you know... You can-t just get Horus with Anubis- head or something.

Were not mix and matching, what gave you that impression? Just altering the pics view on it, no picture has the true image of Anubis considering it's not even *insert funny joke saying how it's not true*

The colors, the shapes, the sizes... It all looks like the actual drawings of old Egyptians when portraying their Gods...

And Their all the artists view, not reality

@Grin: sure, Ill see what I can do. Keep in mind the rarity of diamond, lapis lazuli, etc. and Obsidian takes forever to mine, so yeah... But the statues will look kicka** :3

Haha, Im merely a artist at the moment, so the finances seem quite ominous to me, but you guys have it covered!

I was thinking that setting Horus and Anubis up as the guards of the city and Sobek as the guard of the Well/ Pool/ Abysmal Water Pit would be good, but if you guys want, I could build two more statue, so you have a statue for north, south, east and west.

Does sound interesting, yeah might work very well... We'll need to design a area for such statues to be placed.

At the moment the only confirmed statues we have is 2 Anubis at the entrance of the town and (you can even see where they are going to be placed) Sobek hovering or emerging out of the whirlpool.

Other statues do sound interesting, if you're not busy i wouldn't mind seeing what you could do for the other ideas, but you don't have to yet ofc as it isn't 100% going to be added until Liz+Dan give their opinions .

Not the one with everyones favourite orc in, the pool in abydos

i made the whirlpool it looks nice how it is.

It's always beeen the plan to add a statue inside the pool...

it would look odd.

if you want i could make it bigger so you could fit a circle of stone down there just above the water to put the statue on.

Would be cool, but is that possible without causing a lot of trouble... IE The Elites ext.
