Minecraft 1.6

So here's my breakdown of 1.6 if you do not follow Notch's Blog (Filler I assume as well as other people who dislike Notch)

Release Date: Not Soon

Features:
Maps
Bugfixes ( a lot)
Vanilla Nether Support (Not sure how that affects us)

Awesome!
Maps = Cool, but I have one already
Bugfixes = LOLMORECODE which means itll take longer for bukkit to update (no biggie, just downgrade)
Nether = IDK. I dont like the nether anyways lol

All in all, wont be all that bad of an update, though we should get more passive and hostile mobs soon!

Maps seem pretty nice.

I will say that notch said on his twitter that he would also be adding hot dogs soon. Also because there is no soon release date so it is possible That there may more features yet to be announced. So don't take this early report worth much because we all know how notch and his team work.

He should add a lot more monsters imo, 50+ more should be implemented

Map looks intresting, the rest Meh, i guess bug fixes is good but still meh, he could have put in something more fun inti this patch, a new object like a car/bicycle/plane or someting ;<.

To me its just another bug fix which don't get me wrong is very useful but I'd like to see some more progressive work. Also Wtf is all this hat shit on about? lol sorry if its obvious.

By 2.0 I want to see but 5 things.

1. Better and deeper maps mod (Makes Maps realistic, and makes certain aspects such as depth and height more realistic)
2. MANY more foods/ores/mobs.
3. Pistons.
4. Modding support.
5. Multiplayer Lobbies.

Well, the ores would be a problem because we'd need to regen the map in order to gEt them

Plugins helped with it though Patrick. Like the redstone -> Lapis plugin when Lapis didn't appear in the map (until Orc extended the map ofc), and i'm sure there will be a way in the future where you can add to current maps possibly...

If Notch is actually going to attempt to fix all of the bugs on the wiki, and inevidently (and ironically) create more bugs during the process. So I'd be waiting for 1.6_01 or 02.

BUT, if he is attempting to clean up the game, this could mean that multiplayer 'could' become as stable as single player. But only after several opitimization, which will probably follow suit.

Plus official SMP Nether code could open up the doors to more interesting bukkit mods...

And waiting for functional books :3
