I know right, I could stare at that for hours and just laugh

if u ask me thats no more work than typing /cprotect and left clicking

You are right in that resources are not the issue.

Let's say I need to lock 10 chests so that only me and two other guys can access it.
    LWC: /lwc mode persist, /cprivate Dude1 Dude2, 10 mouse clicks and DONE, 10 seconds.
Lockette: Make 10 signs, have fun typing the names on every single chest.

Then, another guy joins in, and i want to give access to him as well.
LWC: /lwc mode persist, /cmodify Dude3. 10 mouse clicks and DONE, 10 seconds.
Lockette: Rewrite all the signs from scratch, yay.

Should we switch to Lockette I would deal with it (one can still spare himself the typing by using keyboard macros), just pointing out that LWC looks WAAY more usable when it comes to anything more complex than "this here chest is MINE".

WTF!?! i had no idea that command existed...

that makes ur point THAT much more understandable.

ima look and see if theres a way to make lwc/cp not conflict with Lockette, because lockette is awesome for doors, makes it where u can open iron doors without a power source. and (As i said before) makes double doors open at the same time.

the ContainerProtect plugin looks nice and is easy to handle but i see one problem :p

    Features:

4 modes supported: Public, Private, Players and Groups
Use in the same way as ChestProtect: 1. set mode, 2. place container
    Supports chests, furnaces and dispensers
    Simple, fast and reliable
Log container access for chosen players or groups
    what is with door's ??

Hmmm hard choice. While I'm used to LWC and haven't had problems with it I am scared of it malfunctioning. Although this new plugin makes me a bit weary it woul dbe nice to try things out. Lets try something new for a while,it'd be nice

im all for trying new plugins but this however is a big change and there can be serious outcomes if the switch doesn't go right. such as stolen stuff.

So whats the situation with moving to another plugin? I already had to remove my chest-shops in Frostside and Acheron, because the game keeps telling me, that my chests are air Evil or Very Mad

I didn't realise it wouldn't protect doors, so it's pretty much useless for our kind of server.

Problem is, that whatever bug is causing those lwc glitches is also affecting chest shops. So they randomly stop working...

as far as lockette being a problem because you have to put that many signs down, a sign cost 8 planks... 8 planks...

and all you have to do is right click and type [private]

if u ask me thats no more work than typing /cprotect and left clicking

if its about using res. to make the signs them gawd DAM u must love ur wood O.o its 8 planks man! thats only 2 wood!

Alright I have: 14 chests in my facility. 4 chests in my house (with little workshop aside). Somewhere 15 in the wheat farm. I have 24 furnaces in New Frostside and like 8 in my facility. In my facility everything has to be open for me AND droepy means all the facility * 2.

28 signs + 16 = facility = 44 signs. The wheat farm also had doors btw like a lot 10 or so. The furnaces has to also (nearly future when droepy plays again) means 48 signs

44+48 signs (and that's not even all.....) = 92 signs = 92*8= 736 planks/4= 184 wood and NOT counting the sticks you need.

    Sticks= 92 sticks. 92*2 (wood planks)= 184 planks 184/2= 92

    184+92= 276 wood

Also I need a shitload of time to do that..... No way I'm gonna waste 276 wood.

Better yet, create more then one safety-net for your chests. Such as numerous locked doors for access.

    wood... is infinite.

i have about a double chest full and can get more almost anytime i want. 276 wood means nothing to me. the time is the only real prob, and if your to lazy to type out a sign to protect your valuables... >.>

but either way, looks like we are sticking with buggy lwc, i haz no prob with this because lwc has not failed me yet. not sure why really, but i dont question it. i just go with it ^^

EDIT: Actually the sticks are included with the 8 planks.2 planks=4 sticks, 6 planks + 2 sticks = 1 sign so that just enforces my point of the wood not being a problem
