Titanic Takeover Tuesday

Seems that yesterdays crash of the Minecraft login servers were the work of that hacker group, Lulz Sec, and they not only took down Minecraft, but LoL Eve Online as well (among others).

Why do people attack and disrupt high profile internet sites? What possible benefit is there to it? I can understand wanting to steal shit and make money, but what kind of sad individuals do that for no apparent reason? Don't they have better ways to spend their lives? It's so pathetic it makes me rage >:0

Lol. But I'm kind of pissed they hacked Bethesda as I would like to see Skyrim actually released at the time they promise rather than have delays due to something like this. Seriously though, this is equivalent of some big buffed up guy on P going down the street and starting a fight with every person who happens to be there. There is no need for it and those people were just trying to live their lives and most likely didn't want their skull crushed in. I've been in that situation and its really annoying.
