    The Nether Empty The Nether

    Post by babalu 2011-06-22, 05:34

    This goes to Orcworm

As you have seen i found a way to grief, and i regret it, but whatever.
I just wanted to say that Nether Portals are exploitable, as you can go into someone elses house through them.
If i were you i would fix this problem by making them private or something.

    Sorry for the griefing

Under General Information, topic Server Rules, Section 5, clause 1, it is explicitly stated that the use of portals in that manner is disallowed. Please read the General Information thread.

Rather than sounding like a robot...

Yes, I've heard of this already but thanks for the report. It's just another one of those things that're people's own fault, same as not locking your door then complaining when you get robbed blind.

Note that _accidentally_ portal-ling into someone else's build will not be considered as grief, provided you immediately notify staff. Since you never know where a portal made in the Nether will pop in the overworld, it's a bit silly to punish people for something they can't control.

it is calculatable, but if you report it right away then obviously your intent wasnt to gain entry to inaccessible areas. Think he just took someone elses portal from the nether and went into the house?

    - Use of any method whatsoever to gain access to otherwise inaccessible areas (ie Locked houses) is not allowed.
