Member Warping Discussion
If any of you older guys can recall, on the last map, Members on the server had access to /warp to various cities. With the amount of people requesting that they be Teleported to major cities, I don't see why we no longer have that feature. I don't see the harm in having /warps for Acheron, Abydos, Ecco, and other notable cities, as long as those cities are pvp disabled. I just want to have a little discussion, is it good or bad and why so, thanks for your time.

Yes they should, its sometimes annoying to have tp tp them there....we could do this or just make a better more noticable tp hub at the spawn.

Use warps for major cities and if a minor city wants to, they could buy a railway spot.

Nobody uses the railway anyway. Also portals will still be in use. Warps would only be for the major cities.

It would take all of 5 minutes for Orc to set up warps, fyi. They aren't disabled because of that, they were disabled for the railroad I think.

The railway is so much more complicated.
1. It doesn't really work.
2. Nobody really used it anyway they usually get a tp to a major city from a donator anyway.

and add the admin and mod permissions to the correct groups

By Warps, i mean the player made warps plugin that isn't yet installed, which people suggested could replace the RR. I doubt you could stop it from charging you gil for doing it in certain places, if sk that could be "abused" because of a simple /spawn followed by a quick /warp..

it might definately take some bulk out of the ever-growing economy, indeed. just might be the trouble of HOW to do that, unless the plugin already has a way for that built in.

Well, the current one on the server is PRIVATE Warps, not public ones, so we could implement yet another plugin for this single reason. Though to use it, I deffinitly think it's a good idea to charge gil. I'm not pushing for it, but, that Warpz0r one I mentioned has the option for charging money and works quite nicely, not sure how it'd go with other plugins though, could be some conflicts.

Make sure theres no PW for members , and the public warps should be implemented, but only made by staff/trusted people. We don't really want 20 pages of public warps

Well if they want warps they should donate for pws and use them for cities. Most donators don't care enough about the one active 'city', so they don't use their warps there. Etc. The ones that do, are just getting basically another 5 free pws.
