Yes, please do bring this back. I don't think people understand how many griefers Honeypots actually catch.

Nope, it is not an important plugin for us. All it did was ban for 1 block griefs, which no staff would be allowed to do anyhow. If we bring it back we should make it global ban people like cat serve does lol.

Since honeypots have been removed, there's been like 400% more griefing, most of which is large and not just 1 or 2 blocks on a statue.

Yep, today I've had to ban countless more people. It was to the point of annoyance, not just hey, there's a grief outside of east spawn, to hey, where's east spawn?

Dude, the griefers swiss cheese'd the spawn today. It NEEDS to be re-added.

They can appeal if they think one block is unfair. Other than that I constantly see LOTS of grief around spawn, with constant bans by staff.

This. It also weeds out the people who come to grief, if they care they would appeal.

I've said my arguments countless times, but here's a quick sum up.

It's not as if it troubles you guys, we're the people who have to fix it.

Banning for 1 block grief, most people who grief don't know what it is. All this achieves is minus 10-20 active players that we could have.

You're just sapping the server dry. I mean COME on.

But we're banning like 5 times the amount we usually have to ban.

How about being tactical about it and Zoneing important land and/or getting more staff?

Why decline people of joining our community on a first impression they may not even realize they're committing.

Because, y'know, we dont have signs telling them the rules and definition of grief or anything...

I banned 4 people within 10 minutes last night who all knew what griefing was and that it was banned

e.g. "PineAppleKush69: Is griefing allowed" to which I replied No
I tp'd to him, and he's sat there breaking statues down.

Another guy says in chat "I'm griefing", I tp to him, and he's breaking someones house down.

If these morons don't want to be here, then that's not our problem, if anything we'll add the website URL in the ban reason, so if they want to appeal then they can.

If people can't read and understand simple signs or basic rules, then why would we want them anyway >.>

Why not make other anti grief precautions other than banning 90% of new players who join our server.

We rarely get new people stay in our community for a month or more nowadays.

I vote to bring it back, It caught so many potential griefers.

I do like the Idea of more Staff. But they'd need to be someone trusted and an older member

Zone more of spawn (?) and increase the number of signs around spawn that say what griefing is and that it is a bannable offence.

Get a plugin/whatever which broadcasts an announcement every 30 minutes (or other interval) that says "Griefing is a serious offence and will result in a ban!" or "Griefing is the editing of other people's blocks - don't do it!"

Inb4: "That announcement would be really annoying bawww." Once every 30 minutes is miniscule compared to what nearly all players spew over the same period of time.

Edit the login greeting message to something that also reminds players/informs new players what griefing is and that it's a bannable offence.

Yes please bring back honeypots my poor house by spawn is nearly non existent, if new people who arent griefers accidentaly hit honeypot they can appeal

I suggested if it was necessary to get more staff, not a requirement ;p.

Yes. Mainly cause rar's purpose is to say <3 Honeypot

Spawn right in front of the signs.
Try to give more detail on the signs (add more signs), don't just budge it all into a couple.
Also, what's wrong with more banning? No one said it was easy.
