    Well no but we can easily get some. Just dig like 3 blocks underground and you hit endless iron ore. If you dig a bit deeper, then you can even get endless diamonds.

    Ok seriously now. This appears to be a bug. The iron ore instandly turns into stone once it surfaces. Same goes for the diamond ore.

    There is already a thread on this, but okay, will explain again.

    Turn on an xray mod, that is what you will see. Mine legit and you will never see it.

    (Assuming the plugin works correctly anyway)

    The chunks around him haven't loaded, so he's seeing what an xrayer would see.

    On really heavy lag, you also are able to catch a short look on the iron or diamond ores before they turn to normal.
