The Aether

The beta version of the Aether is finally released. I personaly love it but gained very split comments about it.
What do you think about the Aether? Should Notch buy the idea from the creators and add it to the game?

It's mehish and Notch doesn't have to buy shit. It's not like Minecraft isn't a "homage" of other games.

Did notch pay for pistons?

I'm not a fan of it, and I do hope he doesn't include it.

Totally added to the game. If there is a hell, you must have a heaven. It gives a great purpose for feathers (darts), and a lot of new and unique items. It has 3 bosses and a awesome record for the game (ITS LEGIT). It would really add to the epicness of online play if you could play with this in SMP. However, it shouldn't be placed in the game as it is now. There is still maaaaaany bugs and tweaks needed to be made, such as the floating whales (idr what they are called) spawning at one central point and having to spread out. They get stuck in mountains as well (lol). The portal point needs to also be fixed. As well as a few code optimization (ram. it uses it a lot). i give it a 15/10 so far.

I've already become quite a fan of it myself, been following it since March.

Quick Q: Dou you have to create a new world once you install the mod? I *think* i've installed it all correct and had no luck with placing the water to create a portal on a very old save file.

I think so, Grint. If not try placing it with a water bucket not a water source if you are, and make sure its 5 x 4 with a 3 x 2 hole in the middle.
