Server Prison

Just another little suggestion. This is not so very serious, just an idea.

Ive been thinking, maybe we need another way to punish people to balance out the gab between ban, tempban and nothing at all.

For minor violations, we may need a special zone you can not teleport out and where no teleporting commands like /pw, /spawn or /home work.

This should be a prison where people have to stay in for a while. To make the concept more fun for the rest, we could also add something to them.

Ive been thinking of like a little obstacle course that acts as a kind of torture dungeon. Prisoners can get lured into them and by pushing buttons, other players and staff members can interact with the prisoner by setting him in fire, drowining him or other things.

This really cant be done with world edit. It requires redstone wiring and hand designing.
Well orcworm gave in with the new spawn city, maybe he will give in with the prison as well if enough people just bug enough.

YES (I didn't watch the video because I'm on my iPhone, but YES!)

I don't think it's an entirely bad idea, I've come to like prison systems in minecraft servers.

a better idea is if your banned you go to an alternate world where you have you buy your freedom for a set price of gil or a donation, so that you can go back to the regular world all this would require is a prison rank and a muti-spawn plugin( or give everyone 1 warp to set at spawn) there would be ways to make money in the prison and we can even have special tasks to earn more money ex: instead of using world edit to clear an area just zone it to prisoners and have a warp in the prison they could use to get there and dig the area out. I think this would be an easy task to accomplish.

I think I like the idea of having a really cool prison with piston doors and other stuff like Nero suggested.

I spawned on the roof of that prison and got out twice already...

id love for the chance to build a prison because on there server there were 3 ways out onto the top of there map and may other flaws.

I would suggest making atleast 3 of these so someone who is frequently "mazed" (I came up with that right now. u like? ) won't get used to the route...

And make it an eyesore, but where no one ever really goes (like maybe under the spawn), so the victims of the maze will regret disobeying the rules.

The NPC was a lagger, I don't want them back.

This thread is all about finding creative ways to punish guests, what's better than tp killing them you might ask? Spawning an NPC herobrine next to them with a diamond sword set on agressive, so much win.

I gotta idea when they need punished they go to an alternate world called "The Real World". We dont need jail its just going to give them fun only orc can /shock and /rocket and /slap and he wont be arsed to go punish some idiot guest every 5 minutes. Also all donators can tp kill but as you said you wouldnt be able to tp, warp, /spawn or /home out would you. I think this is a terrible idea. Sorry Nero no har feelings.

I like the idea of the torture chamber thingy. The maze would be to hard for the average minecrafter (see pcture in thread) but the torture would be fun for everyone. Heck, i would troll around just to get in there so i could be tortured lol.

Thats also a problem people like Darkxephos and Mudkip will piss around just to get in there. So knowing they would not get banned but punished with the least of severity

Make it a maze like in the video, but use cacti instead of wool for walls, and make it only 1 block wide paths.

how about the prison nero suggested but the player's time in the prison is only on the time they are actually on the server.
