Wild Grass Mod and question how to grow grass.

Hey,

I wanna know something. I recently installed my texture pack and I patched the minecraft.jar manually to let it be able to have this feature:

It´s a sort kind of extra in the looks of minecraft where real growing grass is added. Also the flowers are different and it adds vines.

Point is I would like to know how it works flawlessly in Single Player and not in this awesome server! I really like this and I would like to use it in the server. Isn't this supported with the server? If it isn't is it possible to let it work in a way that doesn't make the server slower or having to patch a lot?

Second. I have a high building and I would like to know how to grow grass on top. I know how grass spreads. A dirt block needs to be aside a dirt block with grass and the other gets grass. The more grass dirt blocks are around a normal dirt block the faster it the dirt-only block becomes a grass block.

I want grass blocks above to spawn mob's (no skeletons that kind of thing but other animals). So I would like to know how to fo that as it's pretty high.....

Orc needs to add [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] plugin for that to work

Idk but I think you can bonemeal on dirt will make grass.

the tex pack i use also supports this mod, i have the mod installed i just wished it worked in mutiplayer as well. we should get that plug in! as for your grass growing problem, you might have to buy a grass block off of orc or an Admin/Mod? i think one of them has /give or /item. however it will be expensive. last time i had to do that i just built a giant spiral tower of dirt. it takes more time but it is far cheaper. im pretty sure bone meal wont work, but give it a shot.

Aaaah ok . Thanks for the information. I hope orcworm wants to add this to the server! as the file is only 34 KB and secondly I don't think it laggs the server as it's client side? I mean if you don't have the Wild Grass mod than you can't see it anyhow.

Although maybe the information from where it grows needs to be saved in the server.

apparently we have a "growbie" plugin that allows bonemeal to grow grass and spread pumpkins and flowers.

How do you grow pumpkins?

You need to find one or buy one then place it on a field of dirt or grass and then you can right click on it with bone meal to Spread it or to "grow" it. But you have to have 1 pumpkin to start with.

There's also a rune from the Runecrafting plugin that allows you to create grass on dirt blocks.

No, No I ment the Wild Grass plugin . Thanks for the post anyway... although yesterday the bonemeal on pumpkins didn't work. Maybe I did something wrong .

Troubleshooting
Was the pumpkin a pumpkin or was it a jack-o-lantern
Was the pumpkin on a grass or dirt block when you placed it
Is there plenty of light
Is thereplenty of other grass blocks around the pumpkin
Were you close enough for the bone meal to work
Was it bone meal or just bones.
If these don't work I don't know if I can help

No I found out . Sorry for saying so late. You don't need light nor water. Normal dirt blocks will do. Make bonemeal from bones and just right click on it.

I just had the wrong under block (Wooden Planks). Thanks for ur help though I have like more than 64 pumpkins already. I'm mainly using them for growing crops as according to the wiki it gives more light than torches... and as a helmet it looks kinda weird cuz the face of the pumpkin isn't in the front....

So I'm in the clear .
