Home
To answer the question of how this is obtained, you need breakable grass which can be grown using bone meal on dirt that has normal grass on top. Next get a pick axe with the power pick rune enabled and hit the breakable grass which will cause the grass to drop a variant of grass that is white when in your inventory and brown when placed on the ground.

Then how do you make sponges with tall grass?
Some people (like Jarvisd) said you can't, while others get a bunch of sponges within 30 minutes, which can't be possible by killing zombies.

HA I KNEW IT! i knew tall grass was made by a powerpick, too bad i was too lazy to test it out myself :p
and uberblake, sponges are a mob drop by zombies, and you can kill a bunch of zombies in 30 minutes, its not that hard
