People, it's really not that hard to downgrade. I have literally done it 20 times as I switch from server to server. All I do is name the 1.5 minecraft.jar to 1.5 and the 1.4 to 1.4. If you want to play on 1.5, rename the 1.5.jar to minecraft.jar. If you want to play 1.4, rename the 1.4.jar to minecraft.jar. It's as simple as that.

Oh yes. Performance. This explains why it is now taking 900,000k mem instead of the usual 800,000k. Oh yes... To be honest, I believe the update was way to rushed. First off, lots of bugs. hmmm.... that doesnt seem to want to work for my mac computer, so once all the plugins are updated to 1.5 the server will be too right? cause until then i cant play

Gah i'm getting the stupid frozen on "done loading 90%" screen again.
I've deleted the meta inf file on the new .jar. Any idea of what else to try?

I have a Mac as well, but it shouldn't matter because the .jar files are the same between Macs and PCs. Can you go over, step by step, what you are doing to replace your .jar? Because I wasn't having any problems with my .jar file, so you might be accidentally forgetting to delete a mod.

Karney's problem (on PC) was that when he downloaded the 1.4_01 .jar, it was named as minecraft (1).jar instead of minecraft.jar (without the (1)). You might want to check if that could be your problem, as well, though I can't remember having anything like that happen to me before on my Mac.

ooh i was having 2 problems: first one was that it was minecraft-1.jar instead of minecraft.jar, and the second problem was that it wasnt in the bin folder... silly mistake

A) What's the IP? I deleted my MC and thus, the IP that appears in the Multiplayer bar thingy changed to nothing.

Get the downloaded .jar and put it in the version file then just load up minecraft and if you knew how to read then at the top of the forums the IP is "orcworm.co.uk".

Haha "dragonheart" Get The 1.4 Jar And draaaag it to the version file at the bottom there it should give you the option to replace, etc. REPLACE it. Then Just load up Minecraft.
