Building big cities

hey

i was wondering if there are some guys who like to build a BIG city with me?
because isn't it fun to have more public locations? i had a city called oriental village completely made out of wool
and i want to build it on this server if anyone is interested leave a post

Do you have any reading capabilities whatsoever? There are 5 major cities and ONLY FIVE. This was decided even BEFORE 1.4 was released.

Villages are acceptable; major cities are not (other than the 5 made/in development).

Correct Liz, but it doesn't stop anyone from building whatever they choose to.

I don't want to see another 500x500 (obv exaggeration) cobble turd taking up the world map.

i just asking if someone likes to build a city with me for everyone who wants to see it.
with shops in it and a hotel just for fun.
i really like this server and anyone on it so i want to show that with this city

How about lets see what people can build, and whoever can build the best stuff gets the best customers?

Not everyone wants to play the forum "minecraft-politics" game to be an official councillor or whatever. I've seen plenty of random buildings and towns built by random guests and members that are better than some of the official cities are right now. There are no rules about what you can build, and that's the way it should be.

As for aesthetics, I'd prefer it if spawn wasn't full of ultra garish shops with giant multi-colored SHOP signs that make the place look like an abandoned amusement park. And your shop is one of the worse offenders in that regard. But I accept that other people can build what they want, so I don't complain about it.

Actually it's more around 500x600 (or 600x500 i'm not sure).

Also, I think I shall remove my giant SHOP sign, as I'm far too focused on the construction of Abydos. I tried to make it look appealing (which is why I did lapis+gold blocks) but w/e. :3
